My family of three :)

Well, it's been a good month :) I got to go on my first airplane ride!! I'm not gonna lie, I was scared outta my wits when Garret dropped me off at the airport. Ha I cried. Mostly because I was gonna miss my sweet hubbs and lil' bubs, but a little bit from my nerves. Not only was I worried about missing it, but losing my last meal on it. THANKFULLY, I didn't :) It was funny though, on my first flight I sat next to this 60 year old guy and when we were taking off it started getting really bumpy. My thoughts were, "Ah crap, we're goin' down...." My hands even flew up as a reflex (really embarrassing). This guy next to me was like, "are you okay?" and I, voice a little shaky, replied, "uh, this is my first flight... ever." He chuckled and explained what the crazy bumps were. When I found out that turbulance was normal, I settled down. Then the landing came and I just was clenching my stomach and covering my eyes from the nausea. I liked everything, except the decending/landing part. The cool part was that I got a window seat and it was a beautiful day so I got some cool pictures :)

I couldn't believe how organized the earth is. Like all the properties are distinct squares.

It was so good to see my family! I loved seeing my Kerby's at Kylee's baby shower! Kylee was such a cute prego lady (she had her adorable lil' bebe on the 13th! missed it by two days dangit....). I hope I'll look in shape and glowing like her when that time comes. And Lisa is such a good Mom. You can just tell she really loves her daughters. I'm glad to have her as my mother in law :) And good thing Teryn is moving closer to us so her cute girls will know who I am :) I can't wait! And I always love Terry's hugs, they're so genuine :)

With my family, my Mom started crying at the airport when she saw me. I told her to stop or else I would start crying! It was a really happy moment though :) I missed my Dad too! His jokes and lil' quirks were definitely missed :) My brother, Austin, is growing up so much! I cannot believe that I am admitting this, but I don't think I can take him out anymore. Ugh. Abby Dabby Doo is becoming such a lady. She's got the most stunning blue eyes in the world! She even wears mascara, which makes her way ahead of me at that age. I didn't start wearing any makeup till my sophmore year... I told her she better watch out for those boys cause she's a blue-eyed beauty!

I mean, look at 'em! 

Ellie Bellie is my same old Ellie :) I love having her around to cuddle with :) Even when Garret is there with us, she still comes and squeezes inbetween us. I hope she never loses her spunk. And of course, my little Charlie Bones. We had such a good time going on walks and cuddling. He filled my Mogely void :)

They're probably gonna kill me for this one! We were playing the game where you move your face like crazy until the picture is taken so you don't know what your face will look like... it's a blast :)

I loved visiting family, but man, I was so happy to be home and see my boys!! When I got home, they really made me feel like they missed me too :) While I was still gone Gare said, "You need to come home, I haven't had a decent meal in over a week." For him to say something like that, my cooking must be getting better... I love those two :)

(This may look like Gare is choking Moges, but he's really just cuddling with him and Moges is trying to resituate... haha)

I married the hottest guy ever :) He is my favorite person in this whole world. He is such a hard worker and just a down right good person. He makes me a better person everyday. Sorry ladies, your missing out... :)
Speaking of cooking, I made a salad the other day that was sooo good. Here's a pic. It makes me hungry just looking at it haha...

Oooh, there are lightning bugs here!! It's so romantic when Gare and I take Moges on a walk and see them! Seriously the most exciting I've seen so far :) I was so excited I tried to take pictures, but those little buggers are unpredictable. Here's my best effort...

We've been having a blast with our co-workers! Last weekend, we went to a gym and played basketball. It was 4 on 4, with one girl on each team. I pretty much sucked it up on the offensive side, but didn't do too shabby on the defensive. Gare did way good. He didn't put as much effort as I was, but was dancing circles around me. He was trying to be careful with his back. Let's just say, basketball isn't my sport.

April showers bring may flowers :)

Holy cow it's may already! Time flies so fast! I can't believe we've been married for over 6 months now. Crazyness.... Garret and I are having a blast here in Omaha. It's so beautiful and WARM here... I'm in love :) Seriously though, it is so green and full of trees here. It makes for a great scenery.

Also, the apartments that we are living in are owned by a landscaper so there are shrubs, trees, and flowers galore here. I love it. I steal flowers sometimes to put in my window seal. I gotta decorate somehow!

There's more flowers that I will be picking when they start getting little buds :) Anyway, Garret is doing AMAZING with selling! He is one of the top rookies (first years) which he is very excited about. He gets one about every day, which is good considering that some of the neighborhoods they've been to have not been as prosperous as they would like them to be. He says that one sale makes the whole day worthwhile. But if he doesn't get one, we play family feud on our ipads and it cheers him up :) We play that game way too much, but it's fun so what the heck.
Mogley is also doing just dandy. He has started to climb stairs! It's so funny cause he'll almost get to the top and have to stop for a second to rest. It's the funniest thing. He also has a new lover... Her name is Ruby and she's a little minature chiwawa mixed with... something. But she's real cute. She wears the pants in the relationship and makes sure Mogley knows it haha! It's fun for them though cause they are just about the same size. We finally got a family pic! Except Moges looks like a little black fuzz haha... oh boy.

I am just being a prisoner in my own apartment because for some reason these apartments have no service from AT&T. It's funny cause about a quarter mile down the road, there's service. So we have this thing that gives us service in our apartment, but not outside. Thankfully I work every other day so I can take Mogley for walks and get out of the apartment myself. They have this really nice path all the way around the apartments that I like to go on in the mornings before work. Oh man the other day I was taking Moges on a walk and saw this huge hawk fly across the path! I picked Moges right up and took him back inside. Once I find a collar that actually fits him and a leash I will take him out again, but there's no time for risky business.
We're having lots of fun too! We get together with some other couples and play games until super late, which is so much fun! We're all so tired the whole time that we just act like dorks. It's hilarious. But yep, that's our first take on Nebraska in a nut shell. Hope everyone's having a wonderful day!

1. I honestly believe chocolate is a cure-all. It just makes me feel soooo good inside :P
2. I'm a quarter mexican, but have been mistaken for chinese, indian, and hawaiian. No offense taken by those because those ethnicities are very beautiful women :)
3. I was an avid pokemon trader back in the day...
4. I kinda want to live in London or Seattle where it rains all the time because I really love the rain. I can see how it could cause people to have depression, but for me, I get excited every time it rains. Especially when I get to see the pretty rainbow afterwards :)
5. I'm an Aunt now to two beautiful little girls and one on the way!
6. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I have the best luck in the world. Two examples: 1. When playing games with my family, I win about 90% of the time. 2. The most fun, caring, handsome, loving, sweetest, kindest, humblest guy in the world fell in love with me.
7. I have only had 2 cavities my whole life.
8. My family and I got sealed in the temple when I was about 9. I remember watching my little brother in the nursery room and getting mad at him for being loud when he played. I felt like we had to be super quiet the whole time
9. The most frightening, but thrilling thing I have ever done is moonlight skinny dipping.

11 QUESTIONS FROM KYLEE...

1. My favorite movie has got to be the little mermaid. I loved watching it as a kid and pretending I was a mermaid too. I still wanna be a mermaid so bad.... I loved it because I always wanted super long hair like her and to wear a bikini, which my Dad didn't ever want me to...

2. If I could be anyone in the world, I would be Zoe Saldana. She is gorgeous, acts in movies, and dresses in very beautiful clothing. I've just always liked her personality when she plays in movies too, especially Guess Who and Avatar.

3. My favorite memory is when my high school softball team sent the Blackfoot team home at the state tournament... They had beat us all year long, but at state (where it actually mattered) we creamed them! Normally I would think revenge is not a good thing, but this was the sweetest revenge in the whole world!! 

4. I like to think I am Pocahontas. I have the long hair, dark skin, and love of the outdoors like her. Plus, she falls in love with a handsome white man just like me :)

5. My dream vacation would be to go to Austrailia. I would love being in warm weather and seeing all sorts of animals all day! It's kinda funny, on Garret and I's first date we talked about this and we both wanted to go to there someday. I also remember him giving me a funny look and saying, well maybe someday... It's like he knew we would get married or something haha

6. I love the quote by an anonymous author that says, "Sometimes on the way to the dream, you get lost and find a better one..." I never really related to this until I met Garret. My 'dream' was to date all the guys I could because I didn't date a whole lot in high school, and to not get married for a LONG while. I was actually a little afraid of marriage because I had never been in a serious relationship and didn't want to get my heart broken because I had seen how it affected my friends. For about a month I was following the plan really good until January 29, 2011 when this guy in my English class (Garret) asked me out for hot chocolate. I had never been so excited/nervous for a date in my whole life! I remember feeling like he was a little too good for me (not because he acted like it but because I felt immature or something), but hoping that he would like me anyways. He was such a gentleman, and from the first date I have never felt uncomfortable with him. He was so easy to be with and talk to about anything. This was a big deal for me cause normally it takes me a while to warm up to people. But ya.... he melted my heart and my 'better dream' began :) <3

7. Gosh, just one re-do day? I could use a lot of re-do's... but I will have to go with the day I decided to go camping with my friends. We left the day before Garret's birthday and came back the next afternoon. It was the only day my roommates could go but I should've let it go and had an all day party with my boyfriend on his birthday. Gosh, I feel so bad to this day that I did that. He is in for quite a 'make up' birthday this year...

8. The most embarrassing thing that has happened to me is hard to know because at least 3 embarrassing happen to me on a daily basis. One that really got me though was when I tooted in front of Gare the first time. It was while we were dating and one night we were cuddling under the stars and he was tickling me. Now, I have a low tolerance for tickling. I am extremely ticklish. Anyways, I accidentally let one out and was like, "oh my gosh, did you hear that?" He didn't and then of course I had to explain... If I would have just kept quiet he wouldn't even have known! 

9. I am most grateful for Garret. I know I talk about him a lot, but he is the most important part of my life so I can't help it haha! I am so blessed to have met him and marry him. I'm grateful for the man he is. He's so loyal in everything he does, and to me. He always lets me know how beautiful and important I am to him. He is so humble when it comes to talking about his achievements. Like when he gets a sale I say, "I knew you could it babe!" and he says, "God helped me." I really love that. It reminds me to thank God more because all of the joys and blessings in our life are because of Him. Garret just has such a big heart. He may be big and look like he can beat you up, but he's really just a big softy on the inside. I'm just grateful for how he makes me want to be better. When your around someone 24/7 that is like him, it rubs off on you. I have never been happier in my life. He just has this way of making me feel truly loved. I know he'll always be there to catch me. He actually got in a car accident on his mission and they said he should've died, but thankfully he didn't. My mom always says its because God was saving him for me. I cry every time I think about that... ha I'm a ball baby :)

10. Damsel in distress or Charlie's angel? Charlie's angel, hands down. You gotta have a little girl power in ya :)

11. If I only had one week to live I would spend every second with my loverboy. Even though I would see him in heaven because we are together forever. We would probably eat banana pancakes, go skydiving, have a romantic dinner, and then go star gazing. Perfect day :)

We love him so much! Seriously... We got him on sunday night and it was just meant to be. He was a little shaky at first, but once we got him home and got playing with him he was going crazy lickin' us. Haha he would run from Gare to me to Gare to me. It was the funniest thing. Especially when he runs! He looks like a tiny bunny or somethin' haha... We are definitely lacking in sleep at the moment, but its so worth it. He's actually getting better at going potty on the pad too! We have to do it on the pad because we're kinda sorta not supposed to have him in our apartment so we can't take him outside. But during the summer, I will be with him 24/7 and be able to train him better. 

It was so funny the first night we got him because he was whining when we put him in this big container so we took him out cause we didn't want the neighbors to hear and tattle on us. So the first night he slept with us and we were so tired! Gare: "If you weren't such a cute dog, you'd be dead right now." He melted Gare's heart with one lick to the face. Mine too :) Here's a couple more pics of him... I can guarantee there will be more soon cause I just love my little guy :) 

Oh and by the way! He is about as big as both of my hands cupped together! He's a toy yorkiepoo so he's maybe a pound right now and should be 3 3/4 lbs. full grown. Perfect for apartments, which we will most likely be in for a while... Ahhh he's such a cuddle bug too! We seriously love everything about our little guy!
P.s. Gare did awesome selling this last week! He went to Sacramento and got a sale! This is good cause Cali is one of the toughest markets because it is warm all year round so they have salesmen come by all year long. He's so excited to go this summer and I know he is going to knock it out of the park. He's Garret :)
P.s.s. I took a really hard test this last week and owned it with a 95%! I was super excited :)

These past couple weeks have had their moments. Gare went to Boise for a whole week to do his Pinnacle thing and boy did I miss him. I wish I could've just gone with him. He got a sale so it was worth it. Then he came home and I was complete again :) Seriously, I felt like someone had taken my arm or something. Sooooo glad to have him back!

Then I've been sick. I got sick, went to the doctor, mostly got better, got sick again, went to doctor, and now I am in the final days of my three week recovery. They said I had bronchitis. I think it was a combination of my bad immune system and stress. But to be honest, it was better than my food poisoning episode so I am grateful for that. But mostly what I am grateful for is Gare. After he got home, I was coughing so hard one night that I swear a lung was going to come out, and I couldn't even sleep because of it. I went to bed at about 10:30pm and was still awake at 2:30am. I had a 7:45am class and there was no way I was going to make it there. I felt like I should to tap Gare and ask him if he would give me a blessing. I did and even though it was 2:30 in the morning, he didn't even hesitate. He just got right up and gave me one. I hardly coughed after that and went right to sleep. And when I woke up for my class, I felt rested and got a 100% on my quiz. It really meant a lot to me. I'm so blessed to have the priesthood in my home and to have a husband that is so willing to give it. I don't know what I'd do without him :)

We love Christmas time!

Wow, what a month!! At first we were super busy with school and working, and then with traveling. Garret finished up his fall semester and is so excited that he gets the winter off. He's been going all year so it will be good for him to have a little break. I was seasonally working at bath & body works, and loved it! It's so nice to have smells that you actually like at work. Plus, I got some super sweet christmas gifts for some of our family.. I hope you all enjoy them! Then for the traveling we went to Salt Lake City, Utah the weekend before christmas. My immediate family decided that they wanted to see the lights this year and so Gare and I tagged along. I can honestly say that was the most fun I've had in a long time! We just did simple things, but it was just so fun. We went to lunch at the training table, walked around the gateway mall for a bit while my sisters went and got build-a-bears, checked out the joseph smith building and luckily made it to the joseph smith movie (we had 5 minutes till it started, talk about good timing!), then we went and saw the lights at temple square, dinner at olive garden, and back to the hotel for swimming and presents! Busy day, but also one of the best days ever. We took some cuuuuute pictures....

The next day we went to a four generation christmas party with the most delicious food ever and then to my aunt's the next day. We got home about ten and that's when the food poisoning hit. Gare got it first and I felt bad, but I kinda giggled for one second and the next thing ya know I have it too... WORST NIGHT EVER. Seriously. 

We got two days to recover and then we were off to twin falls for Hayley and Steven's wedding. Thank goodness food poisoning comes and goes really fast! They had such a heart warming wedding. I cried, and of course Gare laughed at me. I really wish the best for them and their new marriage.

From there we went to the Kerby's for a nice relaxing christmas. We got so many nice things and we're so thankful for it all! I loved that Christmas was on sunday this year because we got to go to church. It was just good to remember and have Him in our minds and hearts that day. 

The night before we left we played apples to apples with Lisa and Terry. They all had never played before so I taught them, and it was such a blast! Lisa laughed so hard at the silliest things and Gare told me he had never seen her laugh that hard. Haha it was hilarious! I'm glad they were having fun cause I know I was!
